Does not disappoint. Great for all ages. Make sure to have a copy of the i.d. of whomever purchased the tickets for entry.

Great place to visit with children, however if you want a souvenir it's not a bigger shop compared to other ghibli stores around Japan so that was kinda disappointing for me. Besides that it was a great museum!

Great experience for the price!

A must visit if you are a Ghibli fan! The museum explained the making of their animations and you can find a few script books available for reading. Recommended to purchase the ticket earlier in a month at the Lawson convenience mart.
– show
I love Ghibli and also been to the opening of the Ghibli Park in Nagoya and was excited to go here. But it was a disappointment because it was SO CROWDED. There was barely crowd control and therefore you could not really explore the museum nicely it felt packed and also I was exhausted at the end of my visit. We even visited at the end of the day (4PM) hoping it would be less busy. But nope. Good thing is that they can provide a booklet with English translation to the texts in the museum. The museum in itself was beautifully setup with great attention to details but the massive crowds and long waits to see just a glimpse kinda ruined the experience for us also no photographs in the museum. Ps. Tickets must be bought in advance.… – show
If you’re a fan of anime or not the Ghibli Musuem is a must visit! You Must buy tickets in advance using the app. I recommend going during the weekday as it won’t be as busy.
The architectural design of the buildings are spectacular keeping your eyes busy for a LONG time! Unfortunately you cannot take photos inside the museum as it is prohibited. The museum is filled with spectacular drawings and Ghibli related pieces.
There is a cafe but I do recommend bring your own food as the menu is quite little, a gift store is also located on the top floor including a kids playground.
Any Ghibli lover really must visit. Tickets are a bit challenging to get, as a foreigner (2022) but hopefully this changes. At the time of our purchase, they were not permitting purchase without verifying via Text message, so we had to get our Host to arrange our tickets for us. They won't allow you to take photos inside, but you may freely photograph things outside. Our entry came with adorable “movie tickets” to see a short film. These tickets had stills from different Ghibli films, and we got to keep them. It can get really crowded very quickly, so I suggest trying to book an earlier time slot. You'll also notice that if your time slot is for later in the day, that a lot of the food ends up being sold out at the cafe and souvenir options are a little slimmer.… – show
