    My wife and I booked several Deeper Japan experiences in Kyoto in November 2020 and greatly enjoyed them. It was easy to communicate with them via email and our in-person facilitator(s) were very nice and enjoyable to spend time with.

    I highly recommend anyone looking to have a more personal cultural experience in Japan to check them out. If you are not fluent in Japanese it can be difficult to enjoy a lot of the activities this country can offer, Deeper Japan helps you bridge those gaps.

    Had a great experience with Deeper Japan doing a Tea Ceremony in Kyoto. It was well run and the English translation was superb. We had the opportunity to see how the ceremony was done from a tea master and even had the opportunity to do it ourselves at the end. Highly recommend.

    I had a fantastic experience learning how to make a shakuhachi (traditional Japanese flute). Not only is it a fascinating insight into a traditional art, you also have the pleasure of taking home a wonderful souvenir. I now can’t stop trying to play it…

    We had a wonderful time at the sake tasting in Tokyo. The Deeper Japan staff, the knowledgeable sake sommeliers, and chef were such a pleasure to meet and learn from. Everyone went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time celebrating a birthday. The food and the sake pairings were unique and delicious, and we really learned a significant amount about sake in a super cozy setting. If you’re looking for a unique experience in Japan, this is an excellent option!

    We did a Soba Noodle making course through Deeper Japan — this took place at a small restaurant towards the North of Tokyo before it had opened for dinner. Deeper Japan includes an English translator to help converse with the restaurant owner and the Soba Noodle master that was instructing us on the making of the dough, the kneading/shaping of it, and the cutting into noodles.     Kintsugi Experience: Was super fantastic! The Master was very kind and showed great hospitality. We learned a lot. And huge thanks to the interpreter who comes along with you as part of the package....Just don't forget to meet her at the station first! Felt bad after realizing she was waiting for us there to guide us to the Kintsugi Master's work shop. 10/10, would recommend this experience to anyone interested in learning the art of Kintsugi

    を体験させていただきました。

    ふだんの生活の中で、手ぬぐいなどの染め物はよく使用しますがその色付けをできるということだったので。

    ふとしたことからでしたが、想像していなかった色付けの方法だったのでそのこと自体も白かったですがその他にもいろんな工程があって「へぇ～」という

    もちろんご説明もわかりやすかったので滞りなく、最後は受付の手拭コーナーでちゃんとした（笑）製品も買って自作の手拭と共に持ち帰りました。

    自分が作った、といえども全く遜色ない出来で、普段使うことを通してこれまでの日常がちょっと新しくなった感じがしました。
