Very Nice museum

The museum was a lot bigger than I expected. Cute tour guide and great samurai pieces!

案内してくださったスタッフが感じの良い人で、とても楽しめました。
活版に圧倒されます。

企画展もたのしく、また訪れたくなる場所です。
予約は公式サイトからできます。

通称は軍艦島の端島の特集の展示をやっていました。写真展示がほとんどで物の展示が少ないのが残念です。

いろいろな数学を使った考え方を学べる道具があり、貴重な体験ができます。

A cozy and inviting safe space where LGBTQ folks can go with a lot of information and helpful resources. There are Japanese as well as English speaking staff there so that can be helpful. I hope more spaces like this open up in Japan in the future.

What an amazing free exhibition. So much to see and experience. It was one of my favourite places I’ve visited in Tokyo.

Small theatre museum, no fee entrance.

パット見はバーなのでギャラリー目当ての方は驚くかもしれません、
1Fと2Fで展示をやっており、それぞれの部屋は5畳くらいのかなり小規模の展示で、それぞれ3点ほどの展示。

それぞれの展示の入場料は500円(合計で1000円
気軽にギャラリー巡りみたいな感覚で入るとこれだけで、、、と結構驚くかもしれません。ホームページにもこのあたりの記載がなかったので驚きました。

事前に本当に好きなアーティストかどうか調べて見に行くのがよさそうです。

2階フロアでは常設展のようです。
駐車場の入り口はわかりにくかったので事前にリサーチが必要です。タイムスなのでタイムスクラブだと安くなるのかも？

早稲田大学正門から大隈重信像に向かうメイン通りの左側の一等地にあります。現代的な建物が多い中で、いかにも歴史を感じさせる外観です。内部は重厚で、隅々までこだわりを感じるデザインです。元々は図書館で２階が閲覧室だったそうです。完成は関東大震災から２年後の1925年で、鉄筋コンクリート造りは震災復興建築の代表例でもあります。尚、大震災では東大図書館も壊滅して蔵書もほとんど焼失し、ロックフェラーの援助で再建されました。…

一人でふらっと立ち寄りましたが、まず予約が必要ということなので、面倒ですが電話しておきましょう。博物館の担当の方に(恐らく長年、統計業務に携わってこられたOBぽい方)1時間にも渡りガイドしていただきました。
無料でここまでしていただけるとは…申し訳無くなるのと同時に他にお仕事は無いのかな？とも思いましたが、余計なお世話ですね。

Always a great option to find new and young art. Exhibitions are 1 week only so you should definitely visit often to find new surprises.
