There’s often miscommunication via emails. Also, my friends and I have only found one teacher who can answer all our questions. The rest don’t know how to answer when we ask things like, “How do you say XYZ?”

I graduated from Japan Switch today. Together with Tomoe sensei, we taught private lessons for 6 months. Her contribution to my Japanese is enormous. And of course, I had classes that I couldn't attend, I would like to thank all the sensei who helped me in our make-up lessons and the staff of Japan Switch. ありがとうございました！

The quality, the organization, and the professionalism of Japan Switch are exceptional! Although Ι am attending the online courses, since I'm based in Greece, I believe I receive equal attention, from the school but also from my sensei, as the offline students. Keep up the great job!

i asked for lesson 2 times
and the way they talked to me was so bad every single times
and i asked 2 times
after talking to them all my day was off and i felt so bad
Japanese people they have 2 face you wanna believe it or not
they told me they gonna email me in 2 days and they didn't its been a month

“I was very satisfied with Japan Switch (JS) services. First of all, the staff at the reception desk were very welcoming and friendly. Moreover, they were very fluent in English, so they had no problems answering and clarifying the questions I had about the course content and terms of the contract. Secondly, the instructors I met, Ando-sensei and Wada-sensei, were very professional and passionate about teaching. They had plenty of teaching experience, so they had no problems tailoring the lesson s to my language proficiency level, interests, and, most importantly, job needs. Finally, I would like to say that JS was one of the most affordable language schools I had ever attended in Tokyo. They really gave me “the best bang for the buck.” I would really recommend JS to any foreign worker or a resident in Japan who wants to take his/her Japanese skills to the next level while studying in a friendly, professional, and affordable language school.” … – show

I've been extremely satisfied with Japan Switch. Learning a language can be really difficult, but the very friendly staff and teachers make it more fun and enjoyable. They do a great job of adjusting to my individual needs as a learner. Their switch to online lessons happened almost seamlessly. I haven't found quality Japanese lessons at a more affordable price than this. Highly recommended!

I had a great time at japan switch and i wished i could stay longer but i have to travel. The teachers are fantastic and really give you all the attention you need. I had two private lessons and one group lesson and i have nothing but great reviews for both. I can definitely see some progress in my Japanese skills although i'm not perfect yet. And the staff, always so helpful and welcoming. This was definitely a good choice!

Great learning experience, focused on conversational skills! Super affordable yet high quality teaching. All the staff are super friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend Switch to anyone!

Very friendly environment, students get to practice more through conversations instead of strictly following the textbooks. Teachers care about individuals’ progress and will cater the teaching material to individuals’ needs in private lessons. Classes are also easy to sign up and allows flexibility of rescheduling (make-up lessons). Would recommend to people who need to improve their verbal skills or anyone who has a busy schedule.

  Creating a monthly enrollment and make up lesson system is honestly a hassle to manage from an operations point of view, but we are glad you appreciate the effort we are putting into providing Japanese lessons in Tokyo.

Lessons at Japan switch are super fun and helpful. I'd recommend taking private lessons so you can focus on the lessons that are most relevant and go at your own pace. Compared to other schools, the lessons are way more affordable, so can you afford not to get started learning Japanese?

I'm hours away from leaving Japan, and one of the things that I know for sure I'm gonna miss the most is Japan Switch. These classes were so much fun and I learned lots, it surprises me just how much, and in only a couple of months too. The survival Japanese taught by these AMAZING teachers may seem a bit tedious at first, but trust me, it's the way to learn a language; going out to restaurants, shops, and stations and just practicing practicing practicing, knowing exactly what to say! This gave me so much confidence to speak, and by doing this I improved without even noticing it. I believe the school has a spectacular teaching technique down.

It saddens me that I didn't get to say goodbye to Hirayama-san, Shimada-san and Ishida-san, my teachers during my months in school. They, and all the staff, are so kind, fun, welcoming, and of course, wonderful teachers. Truly, truly incredible people.

I couldn't recommend this school more. I had a wonderful time, and I can't wait to go back and continue where I left off. … – show

Don't use this school! There policies are not clear. They say that you can have one makeup lesson a month but they make it very difficult to do it. Please don't go to this school!

Great school, great teachers. The program they have will teach you to speak Japanese in a really short time. Good community, small groups, and good learning materials. You will be prepared for daily conversation in no time.

I took lessons at Japan Switch for about 2 months and I loved every lesson I had with Satou sensei. He was very supportive and gave me a lot of feedback specific to the special topic I asked him about. It was very easy to get started at Japan Switch, and the process was very smooth. It has a great location being 5 minutes from Shinjuku station, and doesn't hurt that it is the cheapest place in Tokyo to study Japanese currently. I highly recommend you take lessons at Japan Switch.

This school has been really great for me. They are really flexible and accommodating to my work schedule which is extremely rare. Lessons and reasonably priced which is also a major bonus. My teacher was really helpful and even veered off course with me to answer some grammar questions not in the text. I highly recommend this school for anyone wanting to improve their Japanese.

I have had lessons here for a few weeks now in the low intermediate class. The staff are very friendly and the lessons are very affordable. The teaching materials are very helpful but I also like that the teachers are flexible and don't enforce textbook learning. It provides the opportunity for me to have more natural speaking practice while the materials can be used as a guide to help me improve. Overall, very happy with my experience.
