    It’s a bit cliche but it’s well worth visiting. Don’t worry about the no picture signs, bars may look intimidating but do visit one or two.

    이곳은 분위기나 가격대 봐도 술을 퍼마시러 가는곳이아님..
    가볍게 매장분위기타던가 일본어가되면 주인장이나 손님이랑 얘기하던가.

    차지는 엄청어두운 가게가서 물어봤는데 1000엔이라그래서 둘러보고오겠다함. 10분 돌아다니다가 그 가게 갈려고 들어갔더니 자리 꽉참ㅋㅋ

    결국에 마주보고 있는 건물들이 아니라 벽쪽에붙은 가게 들어갔는데 차지 500엔에 맥주, 양주 파는곳가서 먹음.
    여기 사장누나도 담배도 피시고 영어도 어느정도 하셔서 매장에서 담배도같이핌.
    우리 뒤에 들어오신 일본 아재도 재미있으신 분임ㅋㅋ
    뭐 골든거리 비싸다 바가지다 이럴꺼면 자기 집에서 소주나 먹으삼

    Pay attention and don't go to places with a cover charge (it can be more than the price of a drink!). Places will have signs saying no charge so pick those and you'll have fun!

    Probably worth visiting a while ago but now only decent for a few outdoor shots of narrow alleys. Most bars are too small to fit more than a couple of people in, advertise a cover of 500—1000 to prevent tourists from coming in, and lack authentic atmosphere. I’d recommend bars around Ueno on the other side of town for a far more genuine experience.

    Love it. It has a couple of cool bars, they all had variety in drinks and themes and patrons from many backgrounds. Really nice people and they all seem to love foreigners.
    Sometimes cover charge can be high at a few places, but putting that aside, one of the best things about Japan and Shinjuku in theTokyo prefecture.

    Pretty average; I suspect this was probably quite good 20 years ago but has now become a massive tourist trap. Crawling with people in the evenings and many bars fill up early.

    Several authentic bars remain however they all advertise a cover charge or “members only” sign in English to keep Westerners out. Many of these places clearly want locals only.

    The bars without cover charges usually feature exorbitant prices (1000+ yen/beer) and are targeting tourists.

    커버차지 금액은 천차만별..없는곳도 있음..온리 멤버들만 가능한데도 있음..가능하면 없는곳으로 추천..안주는 거의없다고 보면 됨.. 바가지도 조심해야함

    観光地化していて入る店をダラダラと物色する主にインバウンド客の多さに少々、辟易するが、それでも他の呑み屋街では味わえない、戦後の日本、東京の

    常連との会話、偶然に出逢う他の客から人生、文化、いい呑み方を学べる。

    厄介客に絡まれることもあるが、それをどういなすかも、大人の修行である。楽しみましょう。

    Holy bars, Batman! Tiny streets with clusters of bars, some without as much as a sign to let you know what is there. Very intimate and unique places that can seat anywhere from 4—12 patrons, many in distinctive styles. The highlight of our evening was sitting between a Danish couple and an Australian couple, chatting about our adventures in a library themed bar! Where else can you say that?

    外れに屋台珈琲屋があった。
    シングルオリジンコーヒーで酸っぱいが、パフォーマンスがあった。エチオピアモカ、イルガチェフェだったが、明るい酸味以外はかき混ぜ過ぎの分厚い酸

    Animeholic was great and the bartender was the best! He sang anime songs with us and talked to us about his favorite shows. He also brought out this rare snake drink for a customer.
