Jason has been super helpful arranging viewing and consider my needs on apt hunting. Landed at a home I liked a lot and make everything happened in such a short timeline.

Worked with Jason. He and the whole team knocked it out of the park. Moved out of my old studio apartment from student days (Yokohama) to central Tokyo expecting a 1 or 2-BR shoebox but he actually sifted through listings and found us a five bedroom HOUSE within budget.

I had 3 weeks till school started. About 10 days in, Jason found me a decent 11th floor studio corner apartment in the Shinjuku area for well under my budget. I decided to put in an application, and apts.jp took care of everything. A few days later, I had some second thoughts about the commute to school, and asked Jason to take another look for something closer. That’s when he found my current 1LDK in Takadanobaba, which I have absolutely loved these last two years. Close to school, and perfect for dog walking. Jason and his team took care of absolutely everything. They cancelled my first application, and were with me for every step of the signing process for my new apartment, carefully going through every bit of the Japanese contracts.
My first 2-year contract is running out, and I just got the renewal notice. I’m done with school, and plan to look for a job in Tokyo, so I’m weighing my apartment options. I emailed Jason out of the blue with some questions, and the very next day he texted me to set up a phone call, where he ran through all of my concerns. He still remembered conversations we’d had 20 months ago like it was yesterday.
If you’re looking for an English-speaking realtor, you couldn’t ask for a better guy than Jason. He’s a native English speaker, with the resources of fully-fledged Japanese real estate company backing him. Like any realtor in Japan, they aren’t limited to what you see on the website. Let them know what you’re looking for, and I’m sure they’ll be able to help you find it. Jason was familiar with companies who will and won’t rent to foreigners, and through the whole process I didn’t face a single rejection(ymmv). He is meticulous, and prompt in replying. He has been awesome in finding homes that match our requirements, and he is also quick in arranging showings upon request.
The screening process was really stressful for us as a foreigner based on our previous experience. Fortunately, with his advice about additional documents and his negotiations with the guarantor company and management, we got approval.
He helped us with the set-up of utilities, and on the move-in day, all of them had been switched on.
